The Swedish Ministry of Environment organizes a conference on the potential of IT as an enabler of sustainable smart cities, May 3, in Stockholm....

Carin Torstensson and Cecilia Katzeff are invited to the Swedish Energy Agency's yearly conference "Energiutblick 2012". They will talk about how to engage people to be active energy consumers in the smart grid....

This project will develop and test system solutions meeting the needs defined in the pre-study “Urban Smart Grid: Active House”, performed by a broad consortium of actors and funded by Vinnova and the Swedish Energy Agency....

Carin Torstensson, the Interactive Institute,  Anna-Karin Hatt, minister of IT and energy, and Johan Söderström, CEO of ABB will talk about smart grid at Centerpartiet's community days in Västerås, February 4th.

Carin Torstensson held a speach about why design is an important ingredient in the new energy system January 19th at the Clarion Sign hotel in Stockholm. This conference was arranged by the Swedish Energy Agancy and is the first in a serie of several conferences about smart grids and its new opportunities.

Carin Torstensson, from Interactive Institute’s Energy Design studio, is invited to participate in a dialog meeting about smart grids. The meeting will take place the 4th of March at the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications. The Director General of the Energy Markets Inspectorate, Yvonne Fredriksson is hosting the event.

Carin Torstensson, studio director at the Energy Design studio, is invited by the municipality of Norrköping to speak about the project IndustryWise. She addresses the question: How can design help workers in the industry to be engaged in the company’s energy consumption? The lecture will take place on September 21.

The EU project BeAware, managed by the Energy Design studio, will be exhibited at ICT 2010: Digitally Driven, 27-29 September in Brussels....
