A gender perspective on ICT research organisations and processes in transformation
This project will study a closely collaborating group of research organisations within the domain of ICT: two research institutes (SICS and Interactive Institute) and two Excellence Centers (Mobile Life and Center for Networked Systems).
The project attacks the problem from three different positions: bottom-up, through recurring questionnaires etc.; top-down by gathering people in managing positions in collaborative processes; and from a gender research perspective using a "doing gender" approach to organisation and technology.
Expected results are: knowledge and awareness on how gender affects ICT research; creating a foundation within management that allows gender issues to be ubiquitous; and in the long run, increased numerical gender equality.
The project is funded by Vinnova and runs from end 2008 to end 2011.
