Brendon Clark

PhD, Senior Researcher, Project Manager

Brendon Clark is a senior researcher at the Interactive Institute, Sweden. He recently completed a three-year of post-doc research at SPIRE (Sønderborg Participatory Innovation Research Center) at the University of Southern Denmark’s Mads Clausen Institute for Product Innovation (MCI). He completed his PhD in the emerging field of design anthropology developing a framework for organizational negotiations at the front end of design research projects.

His research interests lie at the intersection of anthropology, design, business & innovation and Participatory Design. He focuses on collaboration frameworks for involving multiple stakeholders in project initiatives and the implications for knowledge generation and knowledge transfer in praxis settings.

 

He teaches PhD and MA-level courses in Scandinavia (e.g., Umeå Institute of Design, University of Southern Denmark, Danmark’s Design School, Chalmers & Göteborg University).

He is project manager for such projects as CHANGE, Språkskap, and Performing Participatory Innovation.
